I really dislike it when I am in the middle of a recipe and find myself missing an ingredient. For me, it is normally milk. So here is it; how to make homemade Whole Milk in a pinch:

1/2 cup of water
1/2 cup of evaporated milk or condensed milk – we used condensed milk. If you froze your evaporated or condensed milk from another recipe, 4 ice cubes equal 8 Tbsp which equals a 1/2 cup.
In a mason jar, or a small bowl, combine water and milk. Let sit for 5-10 minutes (if frozen, let it set for 20 minutes) at room temperature. Shake to combine. Use as directed.
Makes 1 cup
